Queen of Tarts says good-bye

"Jamie Schulte (Queen of Tarts) here.

You may be aware that I closed my business at the end of October. It was a sad day for us, but a wonderful and successful 13 year ride!
My family and I are relocating to Eugene where I hope to work for someone else who will get to toss and turn and worry about payroll!
Thanks for EatSalem.com and for supporting small business’ in Salem. I am selling my equipment and all things restaurant related. Since you frequent and have befriended many restaurateurs over the past few years, if you hear of anyone looking for VERY reasonably priced, well maintained equipment I’d be very grateful if you’d let them know I may have what they need.

Happy Thanksgiving. It’s the best holiday of the year for a foodie!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Queen of Tarts over the years. Despite the crazy life of a small restaurant owner, I will really miss the people and the baking (not getting up at dark-o-thirty though)."

Jamie is a great chef and baker. This is a big loss for Salem. I wish her all the best in her new adventure!

Jamie, I second Nate's sentiments. Many of us find ourselves in Eugene from time to time. (I had lunch there today.) Please let us know where you land. Also, if Roxxy will be working her culinary magic elsewhere here in the Cherry City, I would like to know where. Best of luck!

Sad. I'll miss the cornbread.

I have it, on very good authority, that Roxie (formerly of Queen of Tarts) is now working at Mission Mill Cafe. I thought those who marveled at her creations there would like to know that.
