  1. I'm sure they have a better chance downtown now that Alessandro's is no more but that location still seems cursed.

I hope they continue doing well, every meal I've had there has been great.

  2. I am so excited about this! I have been there once and I loved the food and service, but it was just too far away. Part of the fun of eating out is to be lazy, and driving that far always put a damper on that part. I love that they have fresh pasta. It just tastes so much better.

  3. Excellent! I've always liked that location, but I know it's been difficult for businesses to catch momentum there.

  4. I'm hoping that since they've built up a loyal following who crave their food, that the location won't be an issue.

  5. Thanks for the update K. Maybe they will take this opportunity to correct all the typos in their menu! Last time I was there, they had plural and possessive mixed up about four times.

  6. Paul, There are times when I think we could do an entire post of menu mistakes. There's one in town that never fails to make me giggle.

  8. What great news! The South Central part of Salem is the place to be . . .

Too bad that the current neighborhood is losing the restaurant. Hopefully, they'll get a replacement.

  9. Our family loves the new location! Not only are they closer to our home, but the new location is much more of an "event" for dinner. The kids love that from the top floor they can watch their meal being prepared. The adults love the view of downtown Salem, not to mention the food is still delicious! The portion size is great as I love leftovers! ~S

  10. Whew! I have been out of the loop on restaurant news and was worried when I saw the old location had closed, and then even more worried for Gamberettis when I saw a new restaurant (Willamette Burger Co) moving in. Glad they were able to move to such a nice location.

  11. We haven't visited the new spot yet, but it appears their fans have followed them over.

  12. We have been there twice since it opened. Enjoyable atmosphere, very attentive service, tasty food, and an exceptional value. We hope they succeed, and the formula they are using now seems very likely to do so. The new location is more "upscale," but I don't feel it is pretentious--just nice, attractive, and pleasant. Best wishes to all!
