eatsalem.com Restaurant of the Year voting starts today!

Salem had a great year for dining, thanks to the efforts of the local restaurant industry.. Everyone from the owners to the dishwashers(I'm sure many of the hardworking owners often are the dishwashers)deserve a hand for greatly improving the restaurant reputation of our town. It's almost unanimous when you speak to folks out there, they are pleased with the choices for dining in Salem. I'm also pleased with the list of restaurants nominated for Restaurant of the Year 2010.

Here is your chance to vote for your favorite one. The poll is on the top right corner of this blog. You are welcome to share the poll with your friends on other social media. Voting will end at 11:59 on January 16. Please do whatever you can to get your friends to vote on this poll.

It is impossible to conduct an online poll and expect to get one vote per person. I don't believe we have ever had any problems in the past with ballot stuffing but we have made some changes to how this will work. We added a security measure this year that will greatly limit the number of times a single person can vote. There will be only one vote per IP address. This will greatly limit a single person from excessive voting. If you are experiencing a problem voting on this poll please send an email to eatsalem@gmail.com with an explanation of the problem.

Good luck to all the restaurants in the running.

Didn't vote as my favorite restaurant isn't listed (Best Little Roadhouse).

Andaluz is certainly doing something in town that no one else has quite matched! High quality, fantastic prices, something DIFFERENT.

Red Ginger Restaurant in Keizer received 3 1/2 forks out or 4 forks from the StatesmanJournal's restaurant review on June 10, 2010. This is the best Thai/Asian restaurant in the Marion County! It has my vote for Restaurant of the Year!
