Local Foodies Make SJ's 20 Under 40 People's Choice List

The Statesman Journal is holding another online poll to pick a "People's Choice" winner for their 20 under 40 list. The list honors young entrepreneurs and innovators in the community who are under 40 years old. The SJ will pick 19 of them and the public will pick one. To vote and see the full list, click here. The list includes the names of foodies familiar with readers of this site. Good eats are important to locals and it's what tourist remember when they visit. There are lots of nominees but here are some names to look for:

Casey Michel Lucas(Owner of Jonathan's)

David Rosales(Owner of La Capitale and Andaluz)

Elizabeth Miller(Farmer)

Evann Remington(President/CEO Organic Fresh Fingers)

Nate Rafn(Living Culture Executive Producer)

Remember, this is another one of the SJ contest that you can vote everyday, so be sure to give support to your favorite young person on the list. By the way, as of the moment that I'm writing this, there is no link to this poll on the SJ website and there is no indication when the poll will end. Kelly W. Brown, of the SJ, put the poll on Twitter yesterday, that's how I was tipped off to it. To follow Kelly on twitter, click here. Hey why isn't she on the list?

Because she's making the list.
