There is a lot happening at Spoons Gourmet Bistro…
New management, extended hours, expanded menu and a partnership with award winning Chef Christian Russell.
Come join Christian as we celebrate his new lunch and dinner menus during our grand re-opening week beginning March 30th.
Spoons will now operate under Christian’s creative culinary direction. Chef Russell graduated with honors and multiple awards from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. He has worked at a variety of esteemed restaurants across the country. Christian served as Chef de Cuisine at the Restaurant Espuma in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. During his tenure at Espuma the restaurant was voted the best up-scale restaurant in the state of Delaware. After his successes on the East Coast the CIA graduate decided to head west and accepted the position of Executive Sous Chef at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in Napa, California. In Napa he also served as Executive Chef at the critically acclaimed Bayleaf Restaurant where he received the distinct honor and invitation to cook at the James Beard House in New York. This is definitely considered an affirmation of ones “presence” in the culinary community. According to James Beard House in 2006, Christian was the up and coming chef to watch in the Napa Valley.
Since moving to Oregon Chef Russell has spent the last couple of years in the Portland area and was Oregon’s “Iron Chef” Champion in 2008.
Here are some additional things to look forward to…

- Outside catering for private homes, corporate outings and social events

- Upcoming winemaker dinners
- A new outdoor patio
Our new hours as of March 30th will be:
Mondays 11:30 am to 3:00 pm
Tuesday through Saturday 11:30 am to 9:00 pm
