When Henry Ford invented the assembly line to improve manufacturing efficiency of his motor vehicles, he might not have thought about using his idea to deliver raw fish to hungry restaurant patrons. The conveyor belt sushi restaurant Sushi Kyo is opening another location in SE Salem. The raw fish retailer has a sign up at a store front in the Big 5 shopping center just south of Winco off of Commercial St. A peak inside shows that they are working quickly to get this thing going. It looks like this will be a smaller dining room then their other location off of Lancaster.

ReplyDeleteSushi Kyo is near the top of the list of my favorite Salem restaurants. I'm glad that they're successful enough to open a second location; I'm just bummed that my favorite sushi chef is moving to the new location!
