Holy smokes! I wonder if it was a major event in his life that caused him to make this decision? I hope all is well with him.
I was just talking about the bakery yesterday. Sad news. I, too, hope there's nothing external forcing his decision.
That's one of my favorite spots in Salem.
It's one of those cool, one of a kind spots that give a city it's uniqueness, it's charm. {sigh}
That's a real drag- probably the only food establishment in Salem that gets it right 100% of the time. The baker is a real artisan- noo ne else is going to be able to step in and deliver the same quality.
Plea to whomever buys it: Keep it the same, please!!! I love that Bakery!!!
Dang! One of the hidden treasures of Salem.
I love the cannoli's.
Tim's a good guy and I hope all is well with him.

OMG I just found out about this place in the last couple of years. I hope it does stay true. I lived in Philly and the cannolis are just if not more so better than the Italian bakeries in South Philadelphia.
Is everyone ready for the dirt on this? Read here: http://eatsalem.com/2009/08/bakery-damour-opening-soon.html !
So is it forsale or not?
It's not for sale anymore. The original owner came back. Read more here.
Not a big fan of non home made pastries.
The cannoli's are very good. They used to sell the brownies dipped in chocolate at the NY pizza by my house and they were decadent.
