New Restaurant Possibilities

Anyone want to open a restaurant? The building where Papa's Pizza on Commercial Street next to the vacant Albertson's is now vacant and ready for a new tenant. The 6500 square foot building is being completely redone and set up for a good size restaurant with possibilities of a dance floor and rec room. Remember the room with the children's play area and broken video games? All of that has been removed and the room could be set up with pool tables and wall mounted TV sets. The owner hopes to attract a local tenant but thinks something like a Dave and Buster's would work out nicely. People on this blog like to wish for new restaurants, here's your chance to put in your two cents. Although you're going to need a bit more than a couple pennies to pay the rent on this place. Maybe a great restaurant will revitalize that shopping center.

Dave and Busters? Dream on. The spot is too small and their main demographic, young people (20s, 30s) with money to burn, doesn't exist in Salem.

I heard another sports bar was going in. I guess the plans must've fallen through?
Whatever it turns out to be please don't let it be another adult club!!

That whole shopping center needs an update. Especially with nice brand new ones right next to it. The owners should talk with an architet about giving the center a facelift. Everytime I drive down commercial I see something new being built. Who wants to put a bussiness in some run down shopping center.
