For steak and potatoes my favorite place right now is Macleay Country Inn. The place is a few country miles from town but the drive is part of the adventure. If you need some incentive to try it out, they have a "2 for 1" coupon that I found in a "Savings Guide"mailer a couple of weeks ago. They accepted my coupon for the prime rib and saved me $17.25. What's your favorite?

Calamity Jane's in Dundee is fabulous! Great burgers, steak, pot roast, chili fries all in the atmospher of Gunsmoke.
I guess Thompson's Brewpub would qualify as American food. Right?
We go for the relaxing slow pace, the ambiance (?) and the community/homey feel. Oh and did I mention the delicious beer?? I can't recall ever ordering a meal I didn't enjoy; from their hamburgers to the delightful summer pasta salad on the special menu right now.
Macleay Country Inn is REALLY good food (I ate there about a month ago), but the service was horribly slow. I really want to go back and have the chicken strips with gravy again (awesome meal!) but I'm afraid I'd walk out with gray hair if I go again.
I really liked the feel of the restaurant, and as I said above, the food was delicious.
Has anyone gone for breakfast?
